Home to all your favourites from flamboyant clownfish and tiny terrapins, to stunning sharks and the infamous piranha. Immerse yourself in a sea of colour, with 10 spectacular recreated environments:

THE AMAZON
Marvel at peculiar catfish, graceful freshwater rays and the intriguing red devil cichlids in the Oceanarium’s Amazon display.

THE MEDITERRANEAN
Come face to face with some creatures that live a bit closer to home in our Mediterranean display. Have you ever wondered what bass or bream look like? Find out at the Oceanarium.

AFRICA
Discover colourful cichlids swimming alongside bizarre upside-down catfish and try to spot the globe fish in our Africa display.

THE GANGES
Explore the Ganges displays and see a myriad of barbs, find out about peculiar snake-necked turtles and don’t miss the bottom feeding loaches.

MARINE RESEARCH LABORATORY
The Marine Research Lab is home to some of the world’s most unusual inhabitants. Take a closer look at boxfish, seahorses and everyone’s favourite, the clownfish. Take a peek at the coral nursery and discover spiny-tailed lizards and horsefield tortoises in the Reptile Sanctuary.

INTERACTIVE DIVE CAGE
Experience the world’s first Interactive Dive Cage and take a virtual adventure to discover more about magnificent sea creatures including great white sharks, dolphins and manta rays – without getting wet!

GREAT BARRIER REEF
Stroll underwater in our amazing tunnel and meet sharks and stingrays whilst enormous green sea turtles swim above your head.

THE ABYSS
Venture in to the darkest depths of the Abyss and find out more about the eerie creatures that live without light.

GLOBAL MELTDOWN
What would happen if the ice caps melted and your world was flooded with water? Find out in the ALL NEW Global Meltdown experience with spectacular theming, state of the art technology and amazing interactive displays.

KEY WEST
The final display in the Oceanarium adventure is the Key West display, home to some unusual species of shark, including horn sharks and zebra sharks as well as the guitarfish – the shark with the head of a ray!

And don’t forget your ticket is valid all day, so if you miss one of our informative talks, please come back later in the day. Talks take place at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.

Opening Times
The Oceanarium is open daily from 10am throughout the year (except Christmas Day). Last admission to the aquarium is 4pm, closing at 5pm.
